About GOGA

Gayaza Old Girls Association

The Gayaza Old Girls Association (GOGA) is a voluntary, non-governmental, non-political, and non-profit organization formally registered in Uganda. Rooted in the enduring legacy of Gayaza Junior School and Gayaza High School, GOGA brings together alumnae from across generations to champion education, empowerment, and the advancement of the girl child.

Who We Are

Established decades ago, the Gayaza Old Girls Association exists to unite alumnae of Gayaza High School and Junior School, keep them engaged in the life of the school, and foster their participation in initiatives that uplift both the school and the wider community.

Through advocacy, mentorship, and resource mobilization, GOGA continues to play a pivotal role in upholding the values, standards, and academic excellence of Gayaza schools. Our community includes members who are also active participants in the Teacher-Parent Association (PTA), further deepening our commitment to the holistic development of the institutions.

What We Do

GOGA exists to:

  • Create a dynamic network of alumnae to maintain strong ties with each other and with the school.
  • Keep members informed about school affairs and major milestones.
  • Support school initiatives, including infrastructure, mentorship, scholarships, and leadership development.
  • Act as a strategic voice safeguarding the interests and legacy of the school.
  • Mobilize resources that contribute to the continued advancement of the girl child.
  • Foster mentorship, creating vital connections between current students and accomplished alumnae.

Our Global Presence

GOGA is not limited by geography. We proudly serve a growing global network of Old Girls through our international chapters:

  • GOGA UK Chapter – Uniting alumnae across the United Kingdom
  • GOGA North America (GOGANA) – Connecting Old Girls in the United States and Canada

These chapters operate independently but in alignment with the mission and spirit of GOGA Uganda, organizing events, fundraising initiatives, and mentorship programs that impact both the diaspora and the school community back home.
